Our Village Plan has been written to help direct our community’s future. You can download your own copy from the link at the foot of this page.
Radyr & Morganstown has grown steadily during its long history but in the last ten years growth has been rapid with the building of three large housing developments. The Community Council felt that it was important to bring together the older and newer areas through our strong tradition of community activities.
By producing a Village Plan we were able both to tell everyone about our community’s facilities and at the same time ask what people want to keep and change.
The Village Plan Questionnaire gathered lots of information from residents and the results can be read on this page. This informed the Village Plan document, to be uploaded shortly.
An important outcome of the Village Plan is the list of community projects which are set out at the end of the document and many are being delivered.
The Village Plan will also help us to influence local and national decisions about further development by setting out who we are, what the community has now and what we would like and need in the future. A brief description of this Village Plan project has been included in the Welsh Assembly Government’s Community Cohesion Strategy as an excellent example of community working.
