    A small team of wardens regularly meet to copse, prune and clear the wooded area off Dan y Bryn Avenue. Volunteers are welcome to join this group in keeping the woodland tidy.

  • Forest Farm Conservation Venture

    Forest Farm and its buildings are occupied by the South Wales Group
    of the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers. The society
    undertakes a broad cross-section of conservation work. New
    Volunteers are always welcome. For more details, please contact

  • Radyr Woods

    Radyr Woods, Nature Reserve and Amenity Area, Prince of Wales Award, Winner of the Jubilee Award 1985. Recognised by The Shell Better Britain Campaign

    Covers 14 acres and includes a wide variety of wildlife habitats and features including ponds, springs, grassy glades and heathland with over 75 species of wildflowers. Visitors are welcome at any time and pedestrian access is unrestricted – from within Radyr the Nature Reserve can be reached via Woodfield Avenue or Taff Terrace.Managed by a group of official volunteer wardens. New recruits (male and female and of all ages) welcome.
