‘Kiss Me, Kate’

In February, the Radyr Parish Music Group performed Cole Porter’s musical ‘Kiss Me, Kate’, based on the Shakespeare classic “Taming of the Shrew”.
It was a very colourful show, packed with laughs and innuendo. The talented cast portrayed the charming but dastardly producer Fred Graham, his prickly leading lady Lilli Vanessi, the buxom and ditzy rising star Lois Lane, the hopelessly lovelorn Bill Calhoun, and the stealers of the show, the menacing but likeable gangsters, all supported by a lively and enthusiastic chorus, and full orchestra. This fun show was performed to packed houses for all four performances.
RPMG’s next performance will be their concert entitled, ‘The Fantastic Mr Dahl’, a musical tribute to the work of Roald Dahl, on Saturday 7th May at 7.30pm at Morganstown Village Hall.
