Situated about 5 miles NW of Cardiff city centre, the suburban Community of Radyr & Morganstown is composed of two former Glamorgan villages which became part of the city's administration in 1974.  The current electorate is approaching 5000.

NEW BURST WATER MAIN

The large water main on Heol Isaf burst in the early hours of 20 August and Heol Isaf is now closed. This last happened in November 2008. Details of the problem and the action being taken can be found here, and will be regularly updated.

Martin's Mountain Ride

Martin Williams, a resident at Dan y Bryn was carried by a team of 16 footballers up Snowdon on Saturday 14th August, raising funds for the Dan y Bryn development. A number of followers joined the group either walking the mountain or taking the train to arrive at the top for refreshments.

Half Marathon for RNLI

On October 17th 2010 local Radyr resident Gareth Bird will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon in aid of Atlantic College RNLI station. Click anywhere in this box to find out more...

Village Plan for Radyr and Morganstown

The Village Plan has now been printed. A printed copy is being hand delivered to every household in R&M. The plan was drawn up using your responses to the community questionnaire circulated in 2009. It has been written by the project team comprising members from the Radyr and Morganstown Community Council and Radyr and Morganstown Association.

Assistant Clerk for R&MCC

Radyr & Morganstown Community Council has a vacancy for an Assistant Clerk to work 5 hours a week. The job, based in the Old Church Rooms, Park Road, will involve undertaking general administrative duties such as photocopying, filing and binding, displaying notices in the village and shopping for supplies.
