Whilst I love Morganstown, & living in a place that is surrounded by woodland,has amazing views, yet is still close to schools shops etc, I am finding it pretty hard to adjust to our neighbour hood cockeral! It starts crowing at 3.17am each day & doesnt stop until about 10am.We then have a few hours peace, until it starts again at about 5.30pm.At first it was nice, as it was a reminder that we all need to be more self sufficient etc. But now its got to the point where I cant have any of the windows open, & even with the windows shut we are all being woken nightly. I then have to try to get a cranky toddler back to sleep, it isnt easy! I have aksed in the the street but no body seems to admit ownership! I am very tired, am probably ranting a bit, but am at the end of my tether! if people have chickens/cockerals, please consider your neighbours, & put them in their coops until a reasonable hour!

Depending on where you live in Morganstown - there are quite a number of chickens kept on the allotments by the Ty - Nant - if you can find the owner - perhaps the Allotment Society can either put you in touch, or arrange for the animal to become sunday lunch....

I'm loving the above response! I don't think there is much you can do about it. Can animals receive ASBO's nowadays because you could file a "noise pollution" claim against the cock!

As for giving out ASBO's think you might find that the cockerals out number the police in this area by a huge margin.
Gee could you imagine the police car sirens going when they come to investigate the noise at 03:17 .If it crows at that exact time every morning its a cock of regular timekeeping but obviously not a cuckoo cock.
